One Park Lobby
A gilded lobby at the beginning of Park Avenue.
The project positions itself within a neo-rennaisance lobby with a series of modern insertions that enhance the spatial strength of the existing space. Monolithic niches, bronze end walls, and custom light fixtures punctuate the lobby to create new programmatic uses, as One Park Avenue ushers in a new century of adaptive use.
Solid bronze fin walls act as key moments in the project. Conceived of as porous ‘caps’ to the two major axes they tie together the existing space and emphasize the volumetric power of the vaults.
